Virtual Volunteer Opportunity in New York

Family Beehive is seeking virtual volunteers!

Looking for an opportunity to get involved with an organization that helps women in need?

Family Beehive is seeking virtual volunteers to help our small team navigate New York City’s vast resources so that we can put them to use! Our NEW Volunteer Resource Specialist Program is the perfect opportunity to get involved at your own pace.

Our Volunteer Resource Specialists will research one of the following questions (listed below) and then conclude their volunteer experience with a short, casual presentation by walking our team through their findings in the template provided. There are no right or wrong answers! Just an opportunity to research from the comfort of your own home and become an expert on a certain public resource so that we can share it with our community with confidence!

The commitment:

  • Attend an initial meeting to discuss expectations (15 mins via Zoom)
  • Completion of The Resource Packet
    • Completing the Resource Packet is a 5-7 hour long commitment that we give you 2 weeks to complete. We will schedule your presentation once you have committed to the opportunity just so that we have a brief timeline for when to expect the resource.
    • We are very flexible and just excited that you are taking the time to help us!
  • Final meeting to discuss research findings and any additional knowledge learned about the resource during the process (30 mins via Zoom)
  • Your research will be compiled into a blog post (edited, arranged, and posted by our team) for our community to access at all times

To apply:

  • Please email us a little bit about yourself to hello@familybeehive.org
    • Include 3 questions from the list below that you are interested in researching

After you complete the Resource Packet, you are invited to continue helping us by allowing us to direct any questions via email about the resource to you – but it’s up to you! We are a small team and we love getting to know like-minded individuals as we continue to grow. Our community thrives on cyclical support: your simple contribution means a lot to us and our mission!

The questions:

We need the answers to these questions! Each resource question is separate and specific to neighborhood.
